Am I candidate for Lip Blushing?
Unfortunately not everyone is a good fit for the lip blush procedure. You may have something ( such as a symptom or condition) that makes this procedure inadvisable. If any of the following apply to you I highly suggest scheduling a facetime or in person consultation.
How long does the treatment take?
Lip Blush procedures do take slightly longer than other treatments as the lips are more prone to swelling during treatment. If this should occur, swelling will quickly fade and will disappear completely within in three to five days. Expect the procedure to take around three to four hours.
Will the color stay as dark as in the pictures?
The color density will appear at least 40% stronger than anticipated at first, but this will fade after 3-4 days. Lip Blush tattoos are meant to be subtle. They will heal to a soft, sheer tint.
Does it hurt?
It can be uncomfortable. After we shape and design your lips to your liking, a topical anesthetic is applied to minimize any discomfort. This being said everyone's pain tolerance is different some clients don't feel anything while others are more prone to discomfort.
How often will I need touch ups?
An initial touch up is always a must 8 weeks after your initial appointment this is to make sure you get the longevity out of your procedure. After this second appointment I recommend yearly touch ups to maintain the color and the vibrancy.
How long does Lip Blush take to heal?
The lip blush tattoo healing process is relatively short. Day 3-5 post procedure, you will experience dry flaky lips. It feel as though you have been layering matte lipstick on. Once the pigment flakes off it will appear as though NO PIGMENT has retained (trust me this will happen!!). Don't worry over the next 6-8 weeks the color will gradually start to reappear "bloom" to a soft sheer tinted shade.
How will I care for my Lip Blushing?
Like any tattoo you will be given specific instructions on how to care for your Lip Blushing. I will give you a healing balm, cleanser and everything you need to care for your lips for the next 2 weeks. I do not recommend using anything that I have not given or instructed for use during the healing phase. Remember your skin is an open wound and should be treated appropiately.
How long does the treatment take?
All techniques are done in two sessions. The first takes two to three hours. In the first session, the brow is shaped and styled to the client’s preference, and pigment is applied. Eight weeks later, you return for the second session. A touch up can take anywhere from one to two hours.
How long does Microblading or Powder Brows take to heal?
It takes approximately 7-14 days for your brows to heal over, and about 6-8 weeks for the color to fully set in.
How often will I need a touch up?
If it is performed properly, microblading should last anywhere between 18 and 24 months, and powder brows can last between 1-3 years. Once pigment from the procedure begins to noticeably fade, you’ll need to come back for a “touch-up” application. I always tell my clients to get as close to a year as they can, depending on your skin type and preferred look.
How long does Microblading last?
Generally Microblading lasts six to eighteen months, depending on skin type… normal, combo, or dry, (I do not recommend microblading for oily skin clients) as well as the age of the client… young or mature. It is not permanent like a tattoo, because the pigments are not implanted so deeply into the skin. Skincare is also a big factor in the duration of the results. It is very important to follow aftercare instructions. To maintain the brows, yearly touch ups are recommended.
How long do Powder Brows last?
Powder Brows can last between one to three years, depending on skin type… normal, oily, or dry, as well as the age of the client… young or mature. It is not permanent like a tattoo, because the pigments are not implanted so deeply into the skin. Skincare is also a big factor in the duration of the results. It is very important to follow aftercare instructions. To maintain the brows, yearly touch ups are recommended.
Does the procedure hurt?
Topical anesthetics are used to minimize any discomfort. In fact a lot of client fall asleep during the procedure!
